James “Jim” Husnik James “Jim” M. Husnik, 51, Luxemburg died at his work unexpectedly Tuesday morning February 22, 2011. He was born March 15, 1959 in Green Bay to Esther (Malczewski) Husnik and the late James R. Husnik. Jim graduated from Kewaunee High School. After graduation he began working with Algoma Hardwoods Co. in which he currently was employed. He enjoyed working the night shift leaving his days free to tend to errands. He was a member of St. Mary Church in Luxemburg and loved the Lord. Jim loved to visit people and was very compassionate about their troubles. He will be greatly missed. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Esther and Cletus Christoff, Denmark, many cousins also survive him. He was preceded in death by his father when he was six years old, James R. Husnik, aunts, uncles and one cousin Gerald Husnik. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday February 25, 2011. Parish prayer service 6:00 pm. Friday. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:15 am Saturday at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Funeral 10:30 am at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Stangelville. The family would like to extend a thank you to all the kind people who called him often and spent time with him. The Algoma Rescue Squad, Jim co-workers, fire fighters and paramedics who all tried so hard to help him on Tuesday, we are so grateful.
