Ralph W. Kline Ralph W. Kline, 89, Luxemburg died Thursday evening March 3, 2011. He was born in Oshkosh October 9, 1921 to the late Albert H. and Rose (Horen) Kline. At the age of ten, his family re-located to Luxemburg. He attended School there, graduating from Luxemburg High School, later joining the United States Marine Corps May of 1942 serving our country in WWII. He participated in landings on Tarawa, Saipan and Tinian, discharging in October 1945. On August 24, 1957 Ralph married Mary Schadewald in Stevens Point. He was co-owner with his brother Mike of the Phillips 66 service station and bulk fuel delivery in Luxemburg, retiring in 1989.He was a past member of the Luxemburg Fire and Rescue, the Luxemburg Village Board, serving as Trustee, a member of the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262 Luxemburg (named after his uncle who served in WWI), and a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Luxemburg. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary and their children, Julie (Clay) Wittman, Grand Rapids Mi, Bill (Meg) Kline, Casco, Robert Kline, Peter (Cheri) Kline all of Luxemburg, 12 grandchildren, Chris and Matt Wittman, Jenny (fiancé Matt), Laura, Sara, Erin and Carrie Kline, Kaitlin and Riley Kline, Marissa, Courtney and Adam Kline, two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Lovie Kline, Luxemburg, Fred (Lois) Schadewald, Amherst Jct., nieces and nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Kline, one brother-in-law, Paul Schadewald, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Julia Schadewald. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 3 to 7 p.m. Monday March 7, 2011. Prayer service 6 P.M. American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262 closing memorial service 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue between 10:00 and 10:45 a.m. Tuesday March 8, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Church, Luxemburg. Funeral 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Church with Pastor Carl Brewer officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.
