Jerome “Jerry” Ledvina Jerome “Jerry” H. Ledvina, 84, Pilsen died early Monday morning, June 13, 2011 at a Green Bay nursing home. He was born February 21, 1927 in Pilsen to the late Michael and Mary (Mleziva) Ledvina. On September 3, 1949 Jerry married Irene C. Selner at St. Lawrence Church, Stangelville. Jerry was a AAA fast pitch pitcher for 35 years, he enjoyed bowling and was inducted in the Green Bay Bowling Hall of Fame on November 7, 1987. He farmed in the Pilsen area and had a rural mail route until his retirement. Two highlights in Jerry’s life were playing softball in Las Vegas, and in Virginia Beach after the age of 70. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Irene, one sister in law, Lillian Ledvina, Pilsen, one brother and three sisters in law, Arlene Kozlovsky, Denmark, Verna and Harold “Butch” Zelten, DePere, Laverne Selner, Denmark, several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by, two brothers and one sister in law, Joseph and Margaret Ledvina, Emil Ledvina, three brothers in law, Leonard Selner, Clarence Kozlovsky and Francis Peters. Friends may call between 9:00 am and 10:45 am Thursday, June 16, 2011 at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph-St. John Site, Pilsen. Funeral 11:00 am Thursday at the church with Rev. Dennis Drury and Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery Pisen.
