William J. Reckelberg William J. Reckelberg 82, Luxemburg, died peacefully following a lengthy illness early Thursday morning June 30, 2011. He was born July 31, 1928 to the late William A. and Martha W. (Mueller) Reckelberg. On June 14, 1950 Bill married Dolores B. Prahl at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montpelier by Rev. J. Nau. He was a life long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. Bill was employed with the Kewaunee County Highway Department for 41 years as a machine operator and shop mechanic serving as shop superintendent for eleven years. He retired in 1990 and was employed part time at Copps Grocery Store and Stodola’s IGA for an additional nine years. Bill was very active serving on the Luxemburg-Casco High School Board for 21 years, Cesa II Board of Education in Green Bay for ten years and president of St. Paul Lutheran Church School Board for many years. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Dolores and their eight children, Barbara Reckelberg, Luxemburg, David (Sandi) Reckelberg, Green Bay, Bev Duescher, Dale (Jan) Reckelberg, Bonnie (Wayne) Salzsieder, all of Luxemburg, Allan (Brenda) Reckelberg, DePere, Suzanne (Mark) Raduenz, Greg (Susie) Reckelberg all of Luxemburg, 17 grandchildren, Jesse (Lori) Reckelberg, Jeremy (Kaci) Reckelberg, Josh (Carey) Reckelberg, Rick (Jackie) Duescher, Carrie Dequaine, Pam (Dylan) Cooper, Joe (Renee) Reckelberg, Sarah (Travis) Kloetzke, Beth (Nate) Budnik, Aaron (Lindsey) Salzsieder, Travis and Austin Reckelberg, Justin, Elliot and Molly Raduenz, Alex and Max Reckelberg, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters in law, Gordon and Sally Reckelberg, Luxemburg, Carl and Joyce Reckelberg, Poland, Bernice Reckelberg, Luxemburg, four sisters and four brothers in law, Dorothy and Harlan Tess, Krok, Lois and Kenneth Siegmund, Kewaunee, Phyllis and William Erichsen, Carlton, LaVerne and Leon Dax, Kewaunee, many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by one daughter in law, Judy Reckelberg, one son in law, Glenn Duescher, one brother and one sister in law, Harold Reckelberg and Deloris Reckelberg. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 3:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, July 5, 2011. Closing parish prayer service 7:00 pm Tuesday. Visitation will continue between 9:45 and 10:45 am Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. Funeral 11:00am at the church with Rev. Daniel Grams officiating. Burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Montpelier.
