Norma L. Gaedtke

Norma L. Gaedtke (Mrs. Marvin) 85, Luxemburg passed away Thursday evening September 15, 2011 at Kewaunee Care Center surrounded by her family. She was born in the Town of Montpelier February 9, 1926 to the late Arthur and Frieda (Lohrey) Kudick. On May 27, 1944 Norma married Marvin W. Gaedtke at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. Her enjoyments included gardening, canning, baking and car rides with Marvin. Her biggest enjoyments were her family farm and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Marvin, one son and daughter-in-law, Jerome and Wanda Gaedtke, Luxemburg, one granddaughter, Kim (Duke) Kroll, two grandsons, Kevin (Debbie) Gaedtke, Scott (Dawn) Gaedtke all of Luxemburg, nine great-grandchildren, Mercedes, Blake and Jadelynn Kroll, Hailey and Kiley Gaedtke, Justin, Jonathon, Alexys and Alisa Gaedtke. One sister-in-law, Marian Gaedtke,Luxemburg, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Melvin Gaedtke, Sylvester (Bertha) Gaedtke, Vernetta (Edward) Bosdeck, one nephew, Wayne Bosdeck. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 4 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday September 18, 2011. Closing prayer service 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Visitation will continue between 10:00 and 10:45 a.m. Monday September 19, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. Funeral 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Church with Rev. Daniel Grams officiating. Burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Montpelier. A note of “thanks” is expressed to the staff of Kewaunee Care Center, Dr. Zenner, Rev. Daniel Grams and Unity Hospice, especially Dawn for taking such wonderful care of Norma.
