Alois Zellner Alois J. Zellner, 93 of Luxemburg, went home to our Lord on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Fred and Mamies Home surounded by his family. He was born on June 16, 1918 in the town of Luxemburg to the late Louis and Catherine (Oberhofer) Zellner. Alois was a lifelong resident of Luxemburg. On August 28, 1940 he married Marie (Delongville) in Thiry Daems. They farmed until 1966. Alois was employed for Algoma Plywoods and then Luxemburg Milling Company. He enjoyed playing cards, dancing and making wood. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and Holy Name Society. Alois is survived by 3 sons and thier spouses, Ron (Bev), Dennis (MaryAnn), Lyle (Marci), all of Luxembug; and 3 daughters and their spouses, Kathi (Myron) VanDenPlas, Janie Etienne all of Green Bay, Mary (Jim) Salentine, Luxemburg; 24 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Alois is also survived by one sister, Margaret Johnson, Luxemburg and two brothers, Cletus (Jlaine), Norman (Jean) all of Luxemburg, two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law Agnes (Henry) Seidl, Luxemburg, Dorothy (Mark) Borley, Green Bay. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie in 1998, his sister, Catherine and sister-in-law La Verne, brother-in-law Harold Johnson, son-in-law Joe Etienne, and great-grand-daughter, Ashley VanDenPlas. Friends may call at McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG from 4 - 8 pm. Wednesday, September 21, 2011 and at St. Mary's Church from 10am - to the time of service on Thursday. Rosary at 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral 11:00 am Thursday, at St. Mary's Church, Luxemburg with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Entombment in Shrine of the Good Shepard Mausoleum. The family wishes to extend thier sincere gratitude to Sharon and Wayne Depeau and staff at Fred and Mamies Home for their wonderful care, Rev. Milton Suess for his prayers and Unity Hospice.
