Lester M. Macco Lester M. Macco, 88, Dyckesville, died peacefully surrounded by his family, Monday evening February 27, 2012. He was born November 11, 1923 in Dyckesville to the late Joseph Sr. and Jenny (Barrette) Macco. On June 14, 1949 he married Margaret L. Lardinois at St. Hubert Church, Rosiere. She preceded him in death May 9, 2011. Lester had a passion for music, teaching himself how to play numerous instruments as a very young boy. He played for local businesses and parties, anniversaries and weddings. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his cabin up north. He had a love for animals especially Mindy, his black lab. Lester was one of the longest serving members of the Dyckesville Lions Club. He loved his wife Margaret of 62 years. He was the best father anyone could ask for and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his five children, Theresa (Lylas) Dequaine, Darice (John) Bunker, all of Dyckesville, Gail (Joe) Dellemann, Luxemburg, Cynthia (Dale) LaLuzerne, Green Bay, Martin (Sarah) Macco, Dyckesville, eleven grandchildren, James (Amy) Dequaine, Jared (Nicole) Dequaine, Matthew (Michelle) Bunker, Luke (friend Cheryl) Bunker, Jesse (Karen) Dellemann, Adam (Dawn) Dellemann, Amy (friend Rich) LaLuzerne, Luci LaLuzerne, Daniel LaLuzerne, Ethan Brockman, Kendra Macco, five great-grandchildren, Jacquelyn (friend Steve) and Mitchell Dequaine, Rose and Autumn Bunker, Sire Weaver and Cloey Dellemann, six brothers-in-law, nine sisters-in-law, Robert (Marion) Lardinois, Green Bay, Vincent (Sandy) Lardinois, Colorado, Stanton (Teresa) Lardinois, Daniel (Barb) Lardinois, Beulah Delaruelle, Anita Lardinois, Christine (Al) Carlotto, all of Green Bay, Margie Columb, Sturgeon Bay, Colleen (John) Koenigseder, Oregon, several nieces and nephews. Lester was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, one great- grandson Timothy Dequaine, one brother and one sister-in-law, Joseph (Josie) Macco Jr., two sisters and six brothers-in-law, Clementine (Richard) Lardo, Rita (Al) Kollross, Melvin Lardinois, Wayne Lardinois, Melvin Delaruelle and Darrell Columb. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 3 to 7 pm, Thursday March 1, 2012. Closing parish prayer service at 7 pm with Sister Marlene Dimmerling, Parish Director. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 am Friday at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville. Funeral 11:00 am Friday at the church with Rev. John VanDeuren officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay. A special Thank you is extended to Dr. Richard Greene, his nurses Arlene and Betty for the many years of great care, Unity Hospice team, especially Wendy Simonson and Rosie Wright who visited Lester at the nursing home, the many devoted care givers, Ruth Cornette, Jean Morgan, Mary Ropson, Connie Roberts, Joyce Hendricks, Amy Laluzerne and Jackie Dequaine. A huge thank you to Rose Chaudoir, his great-niece, whom he loved and who comforted him through the mourning of his wife, becoming his prayer partner as well as his friend.
