Melvin L. Dejardin

Melvin L. DeJardin Melvin L. DeJardin, 82, Luxemburg died early Friday morning March 2, 2012 following a short battle with cancer. He was born in Dyckesville on August 27, 1929 to the late Joseph P. and Alice (Berger) DeJardin Sr. On August 10, 1948 Melvin married Pearl Vandermause at St. Hubert Church in Rosiere. She preceded him in death on January 8, 1996. Survivors include his six children, Sue (Jim) Borley, Mike (Diane) DeJardin, all of Luxemburg, Wendy (Hank) DeGrave, Georgia, Jeff (Sue) DeJardin, Pembine, Missi (Randy) Miesler, Luxemburg, Kurt (Dawn) DeJardin, Luxemburg, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, a special friend, Clara DeJardin and her family, Luxemburg, Larry (Barb) DeJardin, New Franken, Ron (Percy) DeJardin, Don (Judy) DeJardin, all of Green Bay. Melvin was preceded in death by one infant sister, Mavis, two brothers, Joe and Kenny DeJardin. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, Sunday (today) March 4, 2012 between 2:00 and 5:00 pm. Closing parish prayer service 5:00 pm with Deacon Paul Zenefski. Burial in St. Hubert Cemetery, Rosiere. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund for Autism will be established. The family wishes to extend a note of thanks to the Doctors and Staff of St. Vincent Hospital and Unity Hospice for care given to Melvin.
