Marian M. Dahlke Marian M. Dahlke, (Mrs. Gerhardt) 83, Ellisville, died Thursday evening April 12, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was born June 26, 1928 in Green Bay to the late Henry and Anna (Magley) Nighorn. On May 31, 1947 Marian married Gerhardt F. Dahlke at the Robinsonville Presbyterian Church in Champion. Together they farmed in Ellisville all of their life. Marian’s family meant everything to her, often stating she was so lucky to have the blessings of a beautiful family. She had many interests, especially gardening and sharing her raspberries with everyone. She enjoyed cooking and baking offering her love thru a batch of chicken soup for the sick, a homemade pie for a birthday and cookies for the great-grandchildren. She was known as the “Cookie Grandma” and will be deeply missed. Marian was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier, and a member of the Pvt. Ralph Kline American Legion Auxiliary Unit 262, Luxemburg. Survivors include her husband of nearly 65 years, Gerhardt, and their three daughters, Sandi and Leroy Nelsen, Ellisville, Jan and Dan Collin, Neenah, Bonnie and Kevin Laundrie, Luxemburg, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one brother, Donald (Judy) Nighorn, one sister in law, Adeline Nighorn, Green Bay. Marian was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters in law, Marvin (Althea) Nighorn, Wilmer (Blanche) Nighorn, Rita Nighorn and Merlin Nighorn. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 4 TO 7:30 pm Monday, April 16, 2012. The Pvt. Ralph Kline American Legion Auxiliary Unit 262 Memorial Service 6:30 pm. Monday. Visitation will continue Tuesday between 9:30 and 10:45 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. Funeral 11:00 am Tuesday at the church with Rev. Daniel Grams officiating. Burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Montpelier. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Luxemburg Rescue Squad and Heather the Chaplain at St. Vincent Hospital for taking such great care of Marian and her family.
