Gary L. VanDenPlas Gary L. VanDenPlas, 63, Green Bay, died Sunday afternoon, June 3, 2012 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Green Bay on June 13, 1948 to the late Leonard and Thelma (Basten) VanDenPlas. Gary had retired from the Brown County Highway Department and currently enjoyed running Blue Meadow Stables in the Town of Eaton. Survivors include his three daughters, Michele (Joe) Ripp, Green Bay; Denise (Joe) Wypiszenski, IL; Tina (Doug) Noel, New London; nine grandchildren, Jason, Zachary (friend, Jennifer), Ariel & Brad Ripp, Riley & Tyler Wypiszenski, Shayla (fiance, Bryan), Abbie & Delanie Noel, very special friends, Monica & Tom Michalec, he is further survived by Darlene VanDenPlas, DePere; three sisters, Janice (Norb) Manders, Shirley (Sherman) Mancheski, all of Denmark; Betty (Bill) Manders, Brillion; many brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call at ST. THOMAS THE APOSTLE CHURCH, SUGARBUSH, 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Closing parish prayer service 7:30 pm. Wednesday. Visitation will continue Thursday the 7th between 9:00 and 10:15 am at St. Thomas The Apostle Church. Funeral 10:30 am Thursday at the church with Rev. William O'Brien officiating. Burial in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery, Eaton. A special thank you is extended to everyone at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, who gave our Dad such wonderful care!
