Merlin Prahl Merlin E. Prahl, 75, Luxemburg died Saturday morning August 18, 2012 at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay. He was born October 12, 1936 in the town of Montpelier to the late Elmer H. and Erna B. (Dahlke) Prahl. He served his country in the United States Army National Guard of Wisconsin between 1958 and 1963. On June 23, 1962 Merlin married Linda E. Raduenz at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. He owned and operated Valley Enterprise in Luxemburg until his retirement in 2001. His enjoyments included spending time in his woods, family grill outs, polka music and visits with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda and their children, Kathy (Dan) Kratz, Luxemburg; Dan (Carolyn) Prahl, Dave Prahl, all of Green Bay; Jody Prahl, Luxemburg; four grandchildren, Jordan, Amanda and Jesse Kratz, Julia Prahl, one brother, Donald Prahl, Luxemburg; six brothers-in-law and eight sisters in law, Jim and Mary Raduenz, Mark and Suzanne Raduenz, all of Luxemburg; Marion and Wally Kasten, Pembine; Judy and Wayne Paral, Kewaunee; Betty and Ron Ramesh, Land O'Lakes; Dorothy Roehlig, Oshkosh; Karen Bosdeck, Janet and Jim Schley, all of Luxemburg; many nieces and nephews. Merlin was preceded in death by his parents, one sister-in-law, Diane Prahl, two brothers-in-law, Wayne Bosdeck, Rein Roehlig, his father-in-law and his mother-in-law, Gerhardt and Irma Raduenz. Friends may call at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier on Tuesday August 21, 2012 from 9 until 11:45 a.m. Funeral 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Tuesday at the church with Pastor Daniel Grams officiating. Burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Montpelier. MCMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG is assisting the Prahl family. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.
