Emil M. Witek Emil M. Witek, 92, Green Bay passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday evening October 17, 2012. He was born June 21, 1920 in Suamico to the late Michael and Pauline (Zakaskia) Witek. On July 21, 1951 he married Margaret S. DeGrand at St. Hubert Church, Sugar Bush. He farmed in Suamico, then moved to Green Bay where he was employed with Green Bay Foods/Dean Foods retiring in 1986. Upon retirement Emil volunteered at the Salvation Army driving bus taking groups to events, the C.P. Center, grocery shopping, doctor appointments and he delivered meals on wheels for eight years. His enjoyments included golfing, especially with his children until he was 91 years of age, loved being outdoors, putzing in the garage and reading. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Margaret, and their children, Jane (Dan) Marks, Suamico, Mary Brueckner, Green Bay, John (Barb) Witek, Neenah, Thomas (Susan) Witek, Appleton, Paul (Barb) Witek, Green Bay, nine grandchildren, Jeff Brueckner, Hannah (fiancé Troy Pahnke) Tessa, Jack Witek, Karissa Marks, Ariana Witek, Paige, Brenna, Lacey Witek, two great-grandchildren, Alex and Andrew Brueckner, brothers in law and sisters in law as well as many nieces and nephews. Emil was preceded in death by one grandchild, Emily Witek, two brothers, Edward (Stella) Witek, Stanley (Lillian) Witek, many brothers in law and sisters in law. Friends may call at St. Agnes Church, 1484 Ninth Street, Green Bay, 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Sunday October 21, 2012. Closing parish prayer service 6:45 pm Sunday with Deacon Jim Gauthier. Visitation will continue between 10:00 and 10:45 am Monday at St. Agnes Church, prior to the Funeral at 11:00 am with Father Patrick Beno officiating. Burial in Fort Howard Cemetery, Green Bay.
