Neil R. Jefferson

Neil R. Jefferson Neil R. Jefferson, 72, Duvall, passed away Tuesday November 20, 2012 at home peacefully with his family by his side. He was born in Escanaba, MI to the late Rueben and Minnie (Sitka) Jefferson on May 28, 1940. Neil worked for Harnish Makers in Escanaba, MI. He then sailed on the boats for Inland Steel for 8 years, later employed by Green Bay Structural Steel for 23 years. On October 3, 1979 he married Anna (Leiterman) DeGreef in Green Bay and moved to Duvall where they raised three children on the family farm. Neil's hobbies included model airplanes, welding and constructing different types of equipment, hunting, fishing and camping with his family. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Anna, three step children, Gary (Nicole) DeGreef, Suamico; Lorie Berceau (special friend Ron), Luxemburg; Tina DeGreef, Luxemburg; one son Brian Jefferson, Milwaukee, ten grandchildren; Amber, David DeGreef; Nichole, Jessica, Stephanie and Dylan Berceau; Ashley Nemetz, Kyle DeGreef; Laura, McKayla Jefferson, two sisters, his twin sister, Geraldine Krause, Gladys Pearson, all of Escanaba, MI, cousins, nephews and many good friends. Neil was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Butch Krause and Bob Pearson. Friends may call at McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, November 23, 2012. Parish prayer service 7:00 pm with Pat Ratajczak, Pastoral Director. Visitation will continue Saturday between 9:30 and 10:45 am at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville. Funeral 11.00 am at the church with Rev. John Van Deuren officiating. Burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Duvall.
