Veronica M. Jonet Veronica M. Jonet, 84, Luxemburg, passed away Saturday morning December 8, 2012. She was born June 5, 1928 in the Town of Red River to the late William and Viola (Deprey) Hallet. On July 4, 1947 Veronica married Alvin Henry Jonet at St. Odile Church, Thiry Daems. He preceded her in death May 15, 2002. She will be remembered most for her love of gardening, spending time watching her son race on weekends, attending her grandchildren's musicals, concerts, sports events, and cleaning numerous homes. She made the best meatballs, pickled beets and home caning goods. Her enjoyments included polka dancing, card playing and spending precious time with her grandchildren. Surviors include her four children, Judy Jonet, Green Bay, Janice (Dennis) Rodrian, Algoma, Jerry (Linda) Jonet, Casco, Jane (Randy) Frisque, Luxemburg, six grandchildren, Kathy (Eric) Nelson, Becky Zellmer-Rodrian, Rachelle (Rick) Karman, Renee Jonet & special friend Tom Brumlic, Rachael (John) Bray, Jeremy Jonet, eight great-grandchildren, Alec and Casey Nelson, Cody, McKayla and Justin Zellmer, Tanner and Austin Karman, Brianna Bray, two brothers and three sisters-in-law, William & Pat Hallet, Dyckesville, Jim & Dottie Hallet, Verna Hallet, all of Green Bay, two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Hildegarde Jonet, Gladys Jonet, Betty Jonet all of Green Bay, Ted Ducat, New Franken, George Ratajczak, Green Bay, many nieces and nephews. Veronica was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Veronica, one brother, Glen Hallet, eight brothers-in-law & six sisters-in-law, Norman Jonet, Harvey Jonet, Tony Jonet, Bernard Jonet, John & Loretta Jonet, Marian Jonet, Millie Ducat, Germaine Ratajczak, Lester Marchant, John & Verna Falish, Edward & Leona Derenne, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alex & Ida (Delongville) Jonet. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday, December 10, 2012. Closing parish prayer service with Deacon Mark Hibbs at 7:00 pm on Monday. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 9:45 am Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral 10:30 am, Tuesday at St. Peter Church, Lincoln with Deacon Paul Zenefski.
