Ruth M. Vandenhouten Ruth M. Vandenhouten, 86, Luxemburg passed away Monday evening, December 10, 2012. She was born October 20, 1926 in Algoma to the late Frank and Mary (Thayse) Frisque. On September 25, 1946 Ruth married Clifford Vandenhouten at St. Martin Church, Tonet. Ruth will be most remembered for her homemade pudding pies, she was a great baker. Her enjoyments included playing cards, gardening, especially her flowers. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Clifford, and their three children, Gary (Judy) Vandenhouten, Judy Karas, Dan Vandenhouten (special friend Genny Fameree, all of Luxemburg, thirteen grandchildren, Mike Deprez, Shirley Thomas (special friend Perry DeGrave), Steve (Terri) Deprez, Sandy (Eric) Jonet, Jane (John) Wertel, Tina (Randall) Johnson, Dawn (Paul) Drnevich, Susan (Dan) Plawski, Anna Karas (special friend Tyler Veit), Christina Vandenhouten, Jason Vandenhouten (special friend Beth Salentine), Rachel Weber, Adam Weber, ten great-grandchildren, Jesse & Kaitlynn Thomas, Willie De Grave, Nathan Deprez, Darian & Sierra Jonet, Johnny & Kayden Wertel, Katie & Jake Johnson, one great-great-grandchild, Janelle Thomas, one sister-in-law, Rosella Vandenhouten, Casco, nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by two daughters-in-law, Linda Vandenhouten, Amy Vandenhouten, one brother-in-law, Wilfred Vandenhouten. Friends may call at ST. MARY CHURCH, LUXEMBURG, 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 13, 2012. Closing parish prayer service 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue Friday morning, December 14, 2012 at St. Mary Church between 9:30 and 10:45am. Funeral 11:00 am Friday, at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
