Agnes B. LeBarron Agnes Bernadine LeBarron, 97, Luxemburg, formerly of Denmark, Wisconsin, died Friday afternoon, April 26, 2013 at Fred and Mamie's home in Luxemburg. She was born in Denmark to the late Joseph and Margaret (Roidt) Cherney. At the age of 16 she moved to Chicago, Illinois and worked at the Sheraton Plaza Hotel as a waitress. It was there that she met her husband, Ellis LeBarron, who was a cook and bartender at the same Hotel. They were married on Valentines Day, February 14, 1953 in Chicago. Together they moved to Los Angeles, California, where they owned and operated a restaurant called "Le's". Ellis made hamburgers and Agnes made dozens of cookies as well as Boston Crème Pies to sell to customers. She continued to waitress, while Ellis took care of the restaurant. Following a trip to Oregon to visit friends, they fell in love with the state and decided that this is where they would retire, choosing the city of Woodburn in which to make their home. They enjoyed 28 years together until Ellis passed away in 1981. Agnes continued to live in Oregon until March of 2005, when she agreed to move back to Wisconsin. It was then that her life came full circle and she celebrated her 90th birthday in May of 2005 with her nieces and nephews, their extended families and friends. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Marge Cherney, Chicago, eleven nieces and nephews, Adrian Cherney, Jerome (Phyllis) Cherney, Clifford (Mary) Cherney, Bernadine Williamsen, Harold (Petie) Cherney, Dolores King, Rita Krist, Maryann (Andy) Duffy, Barb (Roger) Buresh, Pixi (Bob) Foulks, Ann (Joe Dufek) Kohlbeck.
