Darvin L. DeBaker Darvin L. DeBaker, 88 of Dyckesville died Saturday evening, July 20, 2013 at Fred and Mamie's Home in Luxemburg. He was born in Kewaunee County on February 28, 1925 to the late John J. and Josephine (Junion) DeBaker. On November 15, 1947 Darvin married Louise B. Lelou at St. Hubert Church, Sugarbush. She preceded him in death on July 09, 2009. Together they ran the DeBaker Homestead Dairy Farm while raising six children. Darvin also was an electrician at DeBaker Electric, retiring at age 62. His enjoyments included traveling, playing cards with his friends, spending time with his family and helping on the farm. Survivors include his six children, Susan (Leroy) Shefchik, Luxemburg; Sally (Steve) Heim, New Franken; John DeBaker, Luxemburg; James (Michele) DeBaker, Little Suamico; Gail (Dennis) Rubens, New Franken; Jean (Clif) Kuehl, Luxemburg; 25 grandchildren, Sue's children, Carol Blohowiak, Chris Shefchik, Carl Shefchik, Jeff Shefchik, Joe Shefchik, Jill Renier, Dan Shefchik; Sally's children, Scott Heim, Steve Heim, Kurt Heim, Angie Bosman; John's children, John "Butch" DeBaker, Nick DeBaker, Sara Shefchik, Lydia DeBaker; James' children, Jessica Friendshuh, Andrew DeBaker, James DeBaker; Gail's children, Jeremy Rubens, Gina Rubens, Chad Rubens, Jennifer Mueller; Jean's children, Katie DePeau, Clif Kuehl III, Brent Kuehl; 35 great-grandchildren, one brother, Homer DeBaker, Green Bay, five sisters in law and two brothers in law, Iona Massey, Algoma; Joyce Liebeck, Sugarbush; Richard and Beverly Lelou, Luxemburg; Elmer Salzsieder, Kewaunee; Leona Lelou, Green Bay; Carol Lelou, Casco; many nieces and nephews. Darvin was preceded in death by, one sister in law, Elsie DeBaker, brothers in law and sisters in law, Willard Massey, Ardeal "Buddy" Liebeck, Rita Salzsieder, Ronald Lelou and Marcian Lelou. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 4:00 to 7:30 pm. Tuesday, (Today) July 23, 2013. Closing parish rosary 7:30 pm, Tuesday. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:15 am, Wednesday at St. Joseph Church, Champion. Funeral 10:30 am at the church with Rev. Andrew Kurz officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
