James "Jim" J. Theys

James "Jim" J. Theys James "Jim" J. Theys, 82, Luxemburg, died early Sunday morning at his home, September 22, 2013. He was born August 2, 1931 in Luxemburg to the late Albert J. and Esther (Jonet) Theys. He was a 1949 graduate from Luxemburg High School and then attended UW Madison. From November 1951 until August of 1953 Jim served his country with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was awarded a Purple Heart. On June 01, 1957 he married Jean A. Allard at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville. Together they purchased and operated Theys' Orchard which is still in operation today. Consecutively Jim was employed with Northwest Engineering for over 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg, the Catholic Order of Foresters as well as a lifelong member of St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jean and their children, Jim P. and Judy Theys, Luxemburg; Ann and Leonard LeGrave, Casco; Mary and Roger Konop, Stangelville; Jane Theys, Kewaunee; ten grandchildren, Katie ( friend Joe) Theys, Kristie ( friend Mitch) Theys, Megan Theys, Jennifer (fiancé Kyle Leist) Theys, John Theys, Collin LeGrave, Autumn (friend Josh) LeGrave, Brooke (friend Zach) Steinhorst, McKenzie Konop, Cameron Konop, one great grandchild, Haley Theys; one sister and one brother-in-law, Jeanne' and Mark Lerner, California; one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law, Jim and Joyce Lampereur, Dyckesville; nieces, nephews, friends and cousins further survive him. Jim was preceded in death by infant twins, John and Joseph Theys, one son, Daniel R. Theys, his father-in-law and mother in law, Austin and Ceil Allard. Friends may call at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg 3:00 to 7:30 pm, Friday, September 27, 2013. American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262 Memorial Service, 6:00 pm on Friday. Closing parish prayer service 7:30 pm. Friday. Visitation will continue between 8:30 and 9:30 am, Saturday, September 28, 2013. Funeral 10:00 am on Saturday with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Luxemburg with complete Military Rites at graveside. The Family wishes to extend a special note of thanks to the Staff of Green Bay Oncology especially Dr. J. Blank and Unity Hospice for taking such great care of Jim.
