Doreen A. Baenen Doreen A. Baenen, (Mrs. Leland), 74, New Franken, died Thursday evening, October 3, 2013 at her home. She was born June 1, 1939 in Green Bay to the late Arthur and Julia (Rose) Green. On June 4, 1960 she married Leland H. Baenen at SS Peter and Paul Church, Green Bay. Following high school Doreen graduated as an LPN working at St. Vincent Hospital and later at Brown County Mental Health Center, retiring in 2003. Her enjoyments included travel, reading, bowling and visiting with her friends at the NWTC sewing class. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Leland and their children, Debra and Lee VandenLangenberg, Brian Baenen, all of New Franken, four grandchildren, Orrie, Jay, Onna and Julia VandenLangenberg, two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law and her life long friend, Germaine Burkart. Doreen was preceded in death by three sisters- in-law, five brothers-in-law. Friends may call 3:00 to 7:30 pm at Holy Cross Church, Bay Settlement, Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Closing parish prayer service 7:30 pm Wednesday. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 am, Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Holy Cross Church, Bay Settlement. Funeral 11:00 am Thursday at the Church with Rev. Michael J. Weber, O.Praem officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay.
