Lori Therese Derenne, 55, of New Franken passed away unexpectedly with her loving family at her side on Friday, October 11, 2013. She was born May 30, 1958 in Algoma to Norman and Janice (Renier) LaCrosse. Lori was a graduate of Southern Door High School in 1976. Lori married her soul mate, Andrew J. Derenne, and pledged their everlasting love for one another on August 7th, 1976 at St. Hubert’s Parish in Rosiere, WI. Together, they were truly one heart and enjoyed always being together. They had three wonderful children, Eric, Angela and Amber. Lori worked at Southern Door schools and for the last 14 years at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Lori always had a kind, genuine smile and was passionate about her work, always helping others, and most importantly spending time with her family. Her nine grandchildren were her most cherished treasures. Lori tremendously enjoyed spending time with her family, hunting, taking family vacations, and riding matching John Deere lawnmowers with Andy. Lori’s final gift to others was providing life and hope to many families through the gift of internal organ donation, which was a complete testament to the beautiful person she always was. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Andy; three children and their spouses, Eric (Sarah) Derenne, New Franken; Angie (Jason) Blasier, New Franken; Amber (Greg)Aregoni, Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Lily, Mitchell and Eli Derenne; Cayden, Jacob, and Levi Blasier; Marco, Bella, and Dominic Aregoni; parents, Norman and Janice (Renier) LaCrosse, Brussels; and her mother-in-law Rosemary Derenne, Luxemburg. She was adored by many siblings and their significant others, which included Lynn (Char) LaCrosse, Gaylen (Jean) LaCrosse, Randy (Debbie) LaCrosse, David (Jodi) LaCrosse, Leanne (Cheryl) LaCrosse, Brenda (Jason) Krueger, Jason (Jayme) LaCrosse, Anne (Melvin) Mertens, Cece Jossart, Dolores (Jerry) Jeanquart, Rita Price, Jim (Jeannene) Derenne, Jean (Dave) Winters, Cathy (Randy) Fameree, Frank (Debbie) Derenne, Mike (Brenda) Derenne, Char (Randy) Everard, and Vicki (Buck) Schmelzer; and many loving nieces and nephews. Lori was preceded in death by her father-in law, Walter Derenne, brother-in law Joseph Jossart, nephews Nicholas Jeanquart and Lawrence Mertens, and other deceased family and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16th at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Sugarbush from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. A prayer service will begin at 8 p.m. with Pat Ratajczak. On Thursday October 17th visitation will continue from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. with funeral services starting at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Dean Dombroski officiating. Entombment at the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online messages of sympathy and reflection may be sent to the family on the McMahon Funeral Home website, www.mcmahonfh.com. Lori’s family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the amazing staff on the third floor ICU at Aurora Baycare Hospital in Green Bay. A special thank you to all ICU staff especially Leah, Beth, Lynn, Tammy, Amy, Robyn, Jared, Dr. Shah, Dr. Reidi, and Dr. Baek for their extraordinary care and compassion. Lori, you will forever be my best buddy, lover, soul mate, and best friend. I’ll always love you, always and forever. Until we meet again, hugs and kisses to my lady in red.
