Esther M. Leach

Esther M. Leach Esther M. Leach, 89, New Franken, went to be with the Lord, Thursday morning, November 21, 2013, under the care of Anna's Healthcare and Unity Hospice. She was born to the late Reverend George Vernon and Esther (Mehlberg) Dean on September 15, 1924, in Bay City, Michigan. She married Lester Leach on October 6, 1959 and enjoyed a loving relationship with him for 41 years until his death in 2001. She is survived by her two sons: Kevin (Monica) Leach, New Franken; and Kent (Jane) Leach, Rochester, MI. She is also survived by two grandchildren: Justin Leach and Jana Leach. Earlier in her life, Esther was trained in business school and spent most of her adult life prior to marriage in Saginaw, Michigan. After marriage, she moved to Sterling Heights, Michigan and chose to remain at home as a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed many hobbies and crafts, including quilting, croucheting, painting, and a number of other crafts. After the birth of her grandchildren, she gladly took on the roll of a doting grandmother. Visitation will be on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. at Harvest Community Church, E1479 Rockledge Road, Luxemburg. Funeral service will immediately follow at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Kevin Leach officiating. She will be buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan on Friday, November 29, 2013.
