November 15, 1946 — November 28, 2013

Francis "Franny" J. Kahr Francis "Franny" J. Kahr, 67, Luxemburg, died unexpectedly doing exactly what he loved, deer hunting on Thanksgiving day, November 28, 2013. Franny was born in Green Bay on November 15, 1946 to the late Marvin and Esther (Baudhuin) Kahr. He attended and played football for Premontre High School, class of 1965. On April 27, 1968 he married the love of his life and best friend, Jane VanDrisse at St. Mary Catholic Church, Luxemburg. They spent 46 wonderful years hand in hand. Franny was a part of VanDrisse Oil for nearly 40 years, and took great pride in assisting his son in the business to date. His enjoyments included, fishing, hunting, golfing and spending time in Florida. Franny was a hard working man with a big story and an even larger heart. Everyone that knew him will remember a story that turns into a joke, a joke that has an inappropriate ending! Survivors include his wife Jane and their two children, Gina (Gary) Freels, Kyle (Brooke Bredael) Kahr, grandchildren, Ashley and Cole, Samantha, Grace and Bowie, two brothers, Joe (Nancy) Kahr, Tony Kahr, his father-in-law, Norman VanDrisse, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James VanDrisse, Linda (Tom) Rueckl, Mary (Jack Davies) VanDrisse, many nieces and nephews. Franny was preceded in death by his special aunt Aggie, his mother-in-law, Beverly VanDrisse. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday, December 2, 2013.
