Agnes S. Salentine Agnes S. Salentine (Mrs. Nick Salentine), 87, Luxemburg, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center, DePere following a short illness. She was born April 15, 1926 in Kewaunee to the late Edward G. and Johanna (Blahnik) Fiala. She married Elroy Herlache in Kewaunee November of 1943, he preceded her in death on March 19, 1946. On September 24, 1947 she married Nicholas H. Salentine in Kewaunee. She was a member of St. Mary Church, Luxemburg and the Christian Mothers Society. Agnes enjoyed baking, especially making wedding and birthday cakes for family and friends, playing cards, crafts, especially leather craft. She was a 4-H Leader in cake decorating and leather craft for 52 years. Agnes enjoyed square dancing, bowling, gardening and creating quilts for each married grandchild. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Nick, and her eight children, Jean (Myron) Rabas, New Franken, Marge (Ron) Ullman, Manitowoc, Jim (Mary) Salentine, Luxemburg, Ron (Carol) Salentine, Green Bay, Carol (Larry) Grimm, Kewaunee, Judy (Mike) Malcore, Algoma,Wayne (Sandy) Salentine, Pilsen, Jeff (Peggy) Salentine, TN. 35 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, three sisters-in-law, Ruth Herlache, Kewaunee, Helen Herlache, Oshkosh, LaVerne Stodola, Pilsen, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three grandsons, Steven Rabas, twins David and Doug Malcore, one brother, Elmer (Suzie) Fiala, six brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law, Roland Herlache, Donald Herlache, Gilbert (Helen) Herlache, Richard (Emily) Herlache, Marcella (Tony) Pinchart, Bernice (Emil) Rodrian, Clarence Stodola, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ben and Marie Salentine. Friends may call at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday January 17, 2014. Closing parish prayer service 7:00 P.M. Friday. Visitation will continue at the Church Saturday January 18,2014 between 9:30 and 10:45 A.M. Funeral 11:00 A.M. at the Church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
