James "Jim" VanDrisse James "Jim" N. VanDrisse, 73, Green Bay, died Sunday evening February 9, 2014 in Escondido, CA. following a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born April 11, 1940 in Luxemburg to Norman M. and the late Beverly N. (Brice) VanDrisse. Jim's Catholic Faith was his greates source of comfort. He regularly visted the Chapel of the Shrine Of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion, WI, and was a relative of Adele Brice. Jim enjoyed Cubs baseball, authentic jazz/blues music and traveling. He performed in various bands over the years, and treasured his music collection. Survivors include his father, Norman VanDrisse, Luxemburg; three sons, Trent (Ann Marie) VanDrisse, Louisville, KY,; Brett VanDrisse, Green Bay; Jame VanDrisse II, Fresno, CA; four grandchildren, Austin, Nicolas, James III and Vincent; three sisters, Linda (Tom) Rueckl, Mary (Jack Davies) VanDrisse, Jane Kahr, all of Luxemburg, the mother of his children, Judy Carter, New Franken. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly VanDrisse and his brother-in-law, Francis "Franny" Kahr. Friends may call from 9:00 am to 10:45 am. Monday, February 17, 2014 at St. Mary Church, 1412 Main Street, Luxemburg, WI. Funeral 11:00 am at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Luxemburg. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund in Jim's name may be made to St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg is assisting the family.
