Cyril J. Dalebroux

August 8, 1929 — March 21, 2014

Cyril J. Dalebroux   On Friday evening, March 21, 2014 our strong and caring father, Cyril "Cy" J. Dalebroux, left this world to reunite with Carol his loving wife and our dear mother in Heaven. Cyril was born August 8, 1929 in the town of Thiry Daems. He served in the United States Army in 1953 to 1954. He married Carol Jean Boulanger on August 20, 1949 and they cherished each other for 62 plus years until Carol's death on June 8, 2012. Mom and Dad were inseparable as they worked side by side raising their five children and working the family farm, and enjoying the company of their many, many friends. In addition to farming Dad and his brother Fred spent 30 years working together hauling cattle, starting at the age of 16. Dad's life passion was farming. He worked tirelessly each and every day both because he loved his work and took so much gratification from seeing the fruits of this labor. He was a man of few hobbies because he never wanted to take time away from the work he enjoyed most. His love of farming was only surpassed by the love he shared with his family. He enjoyed attending the countless baptisms, birthday parties, graduations and weddings of his many grandchildren. His enjoyments included hunting, gardening, card playing and he especially looked forward to his annual July 4th golf outing with his children and grandchildren. Dad was a very social person and enjoyed any reason to get together with his friends and family. Survivors include five children; his daughters, Sue (Lee) Dequaine, Denmark; Cindy (Keith) Tielens, New Franken; his sons, Dave (Julie) Dalebroux, Dennis (Beverly) Dalebroux, all of Luxemburg; Dean (Lori Forst) Dalebroux, DePere; 14 grandchildren; Denise Larson, Dawn (Cory) Veeser, Jason (Deb) Dalebroux, Jenny Kramer, Jolene (Luke) Chevalier, Anne (Bill) Hopkins, Mike (Alex) Baierl, Paul (Aftin) Baierl, Kirk (Jessica) Dalebroux, Melody (Tyson) Theese, Reed Dalebroux (special friend Jorie Lintz), Ian Daleboux, Kyle Tielens (fiance Catie Quinn), Kevin Tielens (fiance Jamie Schneider); 11 great grandchildren, one brother, Fred (Pat) Dalebroux, Luxemburg; and one sister, Verna (Merle) Borley, Green Bay. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one daughter-in-law, Becky Dalebroux, his father-in-law and mother-in-law. Friends may call 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday, March 24, 2014 at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG. Closing parish rosary at 7:00 pm Monday. Visitation will continue Tuesday, March 25, 2014 between 9:00 and 10:15 am at St. Joseph Church, Champion. Funeral 10:30 am Tuesday at the church with Rev. Andrew Kurz officiating.
