Larry V. Pravechek Larry V. Pravechek, 74, Luxemburg, died Saturday morning, April 12, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born in Luxemburg to the late Frank and Frances (Jisa) Pravechek on April 21, 1939. On May 30, 1961 he married Germaine A. Ostrenga at SS. Cyril and MethodistChurch in Poland. Larry served his country in the United States Army Reserves following high school. He began Pravechek Farm Supplies in Luxemburg. Larry was a dedicated, hard working man and took pride in his custom farm operation and partnership with his family. He loved his John Deere equipment, held a passion for working the land and enjoyed sharing ideas with neighboring farmers. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Germaine and their children, Lori Pravechek, Lee (Jennifer) Pravechek all of Luxemburg; five grandchildren, Ryan and Kyle Vickman, Anna, Maggie and Luke Pravechek; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Mitch (Terry) Ostrenga, Poland, Jean Ostrenga, Green Bay, Renee (Miles) Kresl, Crivitz, many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by, one sister, Gladys (Jim) Parker; two brothers-in-law, Jim Ostrenga and Dan Ostrenga. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 4:00 to 6:30 pm on Monday, April 14, 2014. Closing parish prayer service 6:30 pm Monday with Deacon Bob Miller. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 am on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Funeral 11:00 Tuesday at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating.
