Arlene A. Konop Arlene A. Konop, 84, Stangelville, died early Sunday morning, May 18, 2014 at Aurora BayCare Hospital, Green Bay. She was born in Rosiere on August 28,1929, to the late Fabian I. and Clara L. (Jeanquart) Gilson. On June 7,1949 she married Ervin G. Konop, at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Rosiere. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2008. Arlene enjoyed homemaking and helping her husband on the farm. She never sat still and had to be on the move constantly between helping neighbors and family with gardening, canning, refinishing furniture, baking and babysitting. In later years she enjoyed trips to the casino playing the penny slots. Survivors include her children Lynn Konop, Denmark; Roxie (Fred ) Bredael, Casco; Perry Konop, Luxemburg, four grandchildren Bridgett (Greg) Jandrain; Bill (Tammy) Bredael; Brooke Bredael and special friend Kyle Kahr; Briel (Matt) Chike, six great grandchildren, Aleece, Myles, Calvin and Elsie Jandrain; Bowie Bredael-Vandenack, Cameron Chike, one sister, Madeline Gerondale, Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Raisleger, Kewaunee. Arlene was preceded in death by three infant brothers, three sisters and four brothers-in-law, Virgil (Alfred) VanEss, Marie (Wallace) Gerondale, Lillian (Joseph) Vandertie, Melvin Gerondale; ten brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law, Matt (Eunice) Konop, Joe Raisleger, Bernard Konop, Edward Konop, Joe (Hazel) Konop, Mary (Joe) Soja, Sent (Emily) Serio, Milt (Ann) Pelishek, George (Marcie) Konop, Alvina (Ben) Pylzarek. Friends may call at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Stangelville between noon and 2:15 P.M. Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Funeral 2:30 P.M. Wednesday at the church with Rev. Dennis Drury officiating and Deacon Bob Pribek assisting. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Stangelville. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
