ELONA M. DEPREY Elona M. Deprey (Mrs. David A.) 83, Luxemburg, died peacefully at her home on Thursday afternoon, July 03, 2014. She was born in Green Bay on August 04, 1930 to the late Benjamin P. and Wihlemina "Minnie" A. (Miesler) Arendt. On August 10, 1963 Elona married David A. Deprey at St. Mary Church in Luxemburg. She was a 1948 graduate of Luxemburg High School taking employment in the medical field. Elona began working with Dr. Brusky in two rooms above what is now the "Boarding Haus Pub", later moving to the office next to Kubale's (now known as "Burdick's") working with Dr. Henry Majeski from 1951 to July of 1958, moving with him to the new clinic building on Main Street in Luxemburg. She retired in June 30, 1995 after dedicating her service to the community for 47 years. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, David A. Deprey, one brother in law and four sisters in law, Ted and Karen Deprey, Green Bay; Joyce Deprey, Milwaukee; Monica Schroeder, Two Rivers; Cele Savard, Manitowoc; she is further survived by her adopted family, Jay, Jennifer, Charlie and Simon Arpin, Wauwatosa, WI; special neighbors, Linda and Tom Rueckl, two long time friends from the clinic, Marge and Linda, and her dear friend, Robin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Elona was preceded in death by her parents, her father in law and mother in law, George and Blanch Deprey, three brothers in law and two sisters in law, Donald and Eunice Deprey, Richard Deprey, Charles Savard, Mary Sullivan. As per Elona's request there will not be a visitation or funeral. No flowers please! A celebration of her life will be celebrated on a later date. She also sent David to the Chapel in Robinsonville to light candles, and prayed for other people in their time of need. Elona always had this advise for young people: " Do things when you can, for when you get old - it ain't gonna happen!" Following her own advise, she is probably the only other person in the Village of Luxemburg to attend the first two Super Bowls, David being the other person!! She always enjoyed a good time. Many an impromptu party was started on the front porch of her Colle Street home. People, food and drink would appear like magic and the party was ON! Please remember Elona for the good times and banish the bad. She is in Heaven now, waiting for the rest of us! "Good bye Toot's, now you know what's on the other side!!!
