Mercedes M. Englebert Mercedes M. Englebert, 90, of Dyckesville, died early Wednesday morning, November 19, 2014 at Woodside Lutheran Home, Green Bay. She was born on November 30, 1923 in Champion to the late William J. and Adele M. (DuBois) Lardinois. On June 19, 1943 Mercedes married Arnold H. Englebert at St. Joseph Church in Champion. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2005. Mercedes loved to sew, making custom draperies for many years. She was very active in the St. Louis Church, Dyckesville refund program, tended to the altar linens and volunteered for funeral lunches. Her enjoyments included making Belgian pies, bowling, playing cards, cooking and baking, gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include six children, Wayne (Valerie) Englebert, Kenneth (Mary) Englebert, all of Green Bay; Paul (Paula) Englebert, Sturgeon Bay; Lois (Lee "Augie") Derenne, Luxemburg; Jane (Paul) Shefchik, Sturgeon Bay; Kathy (Lyle) Jandrin, Luxemburg; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers in law and four sisters in law, Dale (Bea) Englebert, Dyckesville; Larry (Joan) Englebert, Indiana; Pearl (Nils) Gerondale, Green Bay; Bonnie ( Dr. Wessely) Gould, Peshtigo; nieces and nephews. Mercedes was preceded in death by one son, Patrick; one granddaughter, Rebecca Englebert; three sisters and three brothers in law, Viola (Melvin) Vandeveld, Doris (Wendel) Nellis, Julia (Elmer) Cravillion, two brothers and two sisters in law, Myron (Florence) Lardinois, Hansel (Irma) Lardinois, three sisters in law and two brothers in law, Roseabelle (Dick) Hendricks, Bernice (Russell) Rubens and Joyce Englebert. Friends may call at McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 3:00 to 8:00 pm, Sunday, November 23, 2014. Parish prayer service 7:00 pm Sunday with Pat Ratajczak, Pastoral Leader for St. Louis Church, Dyckesville. Visitation will continue between 9:00 am and 10:15 am on Monday, November 24, 2014 at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville. Funeral 10:30 am, Monday at the church with Rev. John Van Deuren officiating. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. The Englebert Family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Anna's House in Champion, the staff of Mulberry Meadows Unit at Woodside Lutheran Home, Heartland Hospice, and to Mercedes' granddaughter Kim Derenne for taking such wonderful care of Grandma!
