Bernice F. Gronnert Bernice F. Gronnert, 96 of Luxemburg died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday evening, December 10, 2014. She was born in Green Bay on July 04, 1918 to the late Otto G. and Bertha (Wanke) Dahlke. On November 20, 1941 Bernice married Roderick G. Gronnert in Pine Grove. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1979. Together they raised five children and ran their own hamburger stand on the corner of Cass and Mason Streets in Green Bay. Bernice was active with youth as a boy scout leader for many years. She waitressed at the Elks Club, Manci's, Meadow on the Bay and was a Dietician at Brown County Mental Health Center. As a hostess extraordinaire she was most proud of their bar, the Track Club in Luxemburg. Bernice was also a member of the Kewaunee County Tavern League and the Brown County Local 1901. Survivors include her two daughters, Joan Gronnert, New Franken; Paula Falish, Luxemburg; two sons and two daughters in law, Wane (Lou) Gronnert, Green Bay; Jake ( special friend Faye) Gronnert, Suring, Mary (Hank) Gronnert-Kollross, Green Bay; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bernice was preceded in death by one son, Jerald "Weasel" Gronnert, one son-in-law, Jerry Falish, one grandson, Ryan Gronnert, one step-grandson, Todd Prichard, two brothers, Orrin (Agnes) Dahlke, Robert (Evelyn) Dahlke, one sister, Ethyl (Winford) Grunwald, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Paul Gronnert, Fred (Evelyn) Gronnert, her father-in-law and her mother-in-law, John and Louise Gronnert. Friends may call between 9:00 am and 10:45 am at Holy Cross Church, Bay Settlement, Saturday, December 13, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Saturday, at the church with Father Michael J. Weber, O.Praem. officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
