After retiring, they moved to the Village and she worked at St. Mary Grade School for many years. Mac was a member of St. Mary Parish in Luxemburg and a member of the Christiam Mother Society at St. Mary Parish. She will be remembered for many things, her love of polka music and hop waltzing, her cooking, her sense of humor and her love for her children and grandchildren. She loved to play cards and did that until her last days. When her granddaughter was a little girl, she would tell her friends, "My Grandma knows how to play cards, she's a professional". Mac was an amazing cook and could make a meal for 20 people appear out of nowhere, with no advance notice. She loved to sew and made numerous quilts. Each grandchild has received a treasured quilt. Her grandson's always wanted to "go to Lux" if they needed a babysitter for a day or two. She was a fun Grandma! Mac loved the Packers, especially Aaron Rogers, (her favorite because "he never loses his cool"). She shared our family Christmas celebration only a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren playing and having a good time.
