Jacqueline J. Smidel Jacqueline J. Smidel, (Mrs. Leonard Smidel) 78, Luxemburg died early Thursday morning, July 9, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Green Bay on July 14, 1936 to the late Joseph E. and Emma R. (Wery) LaCrosse. On December 28, 1963 she married Leonard J. Smidel at St. Joseph Church, Norman. Jackie was an excellent artist and decorated cakes for many occasions. She enjoyed painting and drawing, cooking, dancing, babysitting little children especially the grandchildren and playing with her pet cat, Boots. She was a member of St. Therese Parish, St. Lawrence Site, Stangelville. Her faith was very important to her, she prayed the Rosary each morning and enjoyed visits to Our Lady of Good Help Chapel in Champion. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Leonard and their four boys, Jim (Shari) Smidel, Jeffrey (Bobbi Jo) Smidel, all of Kewaunee; Joseph (Colleen) Smidel, Brookfield; Jason (Debra) Smidel, Kewaunee; nine grandchildren, Olivia, Sophia, Kassidy, Kaaryna, Jack, Brooke, Nicholas, Alexander Smidel and Brandon (April) Delebreau, three brothers and five sisters, Stanley (Joyce) LaCrosse, Sidney (Fran) LaCrosse, Joe Jr. "Buddy" (Helen) LaCrosse, all of Kewaunee; Gloria Urban, Shirley LaCrosse, both of Kewaunee; Carol Cravillion, Casco; Judy (Ronald) Schleis, Kewaunee; Theresa (Kenny) Ledvina, Luxemburg; brothers in law and sisters in law, Mabel Kinjerski, Winnie (Roger) Janda, Richard Smidel, Carl Smidel, all of Kewaunee; Norbert (Kim) Smidel, Two Rivers; nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by, three brothers in law, Roger Urban, Bernard Cravillion and Joe Kinjerski. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 12, 2015. Parish prayer service 5:00 pm on Sunday led by Christal and Deacon Robert Wavrunek. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 am on Monday, July 13, 2015 at St. Therese Parish -St. Lawrence Site in Stangelville. Funeral 11:00 am Monday, at the church with Rev.
