Janet M. Nellis Janet M. Nellis, 83, Sturgeon Bay, slipped away peacefully, Tuesday evening, July 21, 2015 at a Green Bay hospital. She was born in Luxemburg on November 08, 1931 to the late George and Dorothy (Stahl) Beirl. On May 26, 1951 Janet married Gerald J. Nellis at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Together they owned and operated The Door County Dairy in Little Sturgeon for nine years before moving to DePere owning and operating Eiler's Cheese factory for 33 years. Her enjoyments included gardening, quilting, sewing, bowling and traveling. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Gerald and their five children, Jane (David) Pasterski, IA; Terry Nellis, CA; Kay Nellis-Skoronski, TX; Jim Nellis, WI; Debra (fiance, Steven Buechler) Nellis, WI; three grandchildren, Jed (Erica) Pasterski, Jill (James) Brackett, Scott Nellis; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Chase, Joy, Janna and Owen; one brother, Robert (Judy) Beirl, Green Bay; two brothers in law and five sisters in law, Patrick (Patty) Nellis, Oneida; Rita Columb, Sturgeon Bay; Bertha Stoller, Algoma; Geraldine (Leo) Shebasta, Manitowoc; Carolyn Conrad, Green Bay; nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by four brothers in law and one sister in law. Friends may call at St. Francis-St. Mary Church, Brussels, between 8:30 and 10:45 am on Friday, July 24, 2015. Funeral 11:00 am, Friday at the church with Rev. Steven Vandenboogard and Deacon Paul Zenefski officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay.
