Rodney "Rod" Malfroid

Rodney "Rod" Fabian Malfroid, 01-22-1952 - 08-02-2015, New Franken. Rod would like to let you know his work here is done. On August 02, 2015 he received a call from our Lord making him an offer he could not refuse. This offer includes a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time, including his father, Wilfred Malfroid. His new adventure will take him to a wonderful place where he will be socializing, riding his Harley, dancing and golfing. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. He left detailed instructions for his wife Lynn Malfroid and his daughters, Valarie (Bill) Hess and Deanna Malfroid, to celebrate his life journey, which is now complete. Low adherence to his instructions will not be tolerated. We want him to know he did a remarkable job and wish him eternal happiness. We will remember his love for life, family and friends. We are very proud of his six years of dedication given to the U.S. Army Reserves. He touched the lives of many. Rod was instrumental in getting the MDA Packerland Ride started. Through the years he has dedicated his time and energy to helping others; organizing benefits for relatives, friends and even strangers. We invite you to join us along with his mother, Doris Malfroid; his brothers, Joe (Lynn) Malfroid, Ken (Kay) Malfroid; his grandchildren, Eric, Trista and Logan Hess; and his mother in law and father in law, Dorothy and Donald Cochart. The celebration of his life will be held at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, on August 6, 2015 from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Closing rosary at 7:30 pm on Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday, August 7, 2015 at St. Kilian Church, New Franken between 10:00 am and 11:15 am. Funeral 11:30 am on Friday at the church with Rev. Andrew Kurz officiating.
