Ronald "Ron" A. Zellner

Ronald A. Zellner Ronald "Ron" A. Zellner, 73, Luxemburg, passed away on Friday evening Aug. 21, 2015, following a short illness surrounded by his family. He was born November 2, 1941 in Luxemburg to the late Alois J. and Marie J. (Delongville) Zellner. He married Beverly A. Alsteen at St. Martin Church, Tonet on June 15, 1963. Ron worked at Armour's for 20 years, then at N.E.W. Plastics in Luxemburg, driving semi for 29 years. Following retirement he continued his love of driving semi for Nemetz Neshota Ridge, DeBroux Custom Work LLC, Tri-State Feed and Grain and Stodola Farms LLC. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Bev; five daughters, Lisa (Matt) Haen, Casco; Lori (Tim) Massart, Kim (Al) Tuttle, all of Luxemburg; Lynn (Tom) Curry, Mishicot; Kay (Dennis) Stodola, Pilsen; 15 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters in law, Dennis (Mary Ann) Zellner, Lyle (Marcie) Zellner, all of Luxemburg; three sisters and two brothers in law, Kathi (Myron) VanDenPlas, Janice Etienne, all of Green Bay; Mary (Jim) Salentine, Luxemburg; five brothers in law and five sisters in law, Betty (Don) Michiels, Green Bay; Diane (Gary)Jonet, Champion; Ed (Peggy) Alsteen, Suamico; Ron (Tina) Alsteen, Marlene (Jerry) Treml, all of Luxemburg; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews further survive. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Alois and Marie Zellner, his father in law and his mother in law, Andrew and Irene (VanLieshout) Alsteen; two brothers in law, Larry Alsteen and Joe Eitenne. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG from 4:00-8:00 PM Monday Aug. 24, 2015. Parish rosary 7:00 PM Monday with Deacon Paul Zenefski. Visitation will continue between 9:30-10:45 AM, Tuesday Aug, 25, 2015 at St. Peter Church, Lincoln. Funeral 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church with Rev. Joseph Dorner officiating. An extra special thank you to Tom Curry for giving Ron the gift of life for the past 16 1/2 years after generously donating his kidney.
