Robert "Bob" J. Jacobs Robert " Bob" J. Jacobs, 90 of Luxemburg, died at Anna's Healthcare, New Franken, early Wednesday morning, September 2, 2015. He was born in Bay Settlement to the late William and Leona (LaPlant) Jacobs on April 15, 1925. Robert married Bernice Moureau on May 8, 1948 at Holy Cross Church in Bay Settlement. She preceded him in death February 15, 2014. Bob learned the carpentry trade from an uncle and built many homes in the Green Bay area. In 1960, Bob bought a farm and moved the family to Luxemburg. He was a member of St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, and The Holy Name Society. He was an usher and also attended daily mass. He loved to play cards with everyone, especially Sheephead. Survivors include his eight children, Pat (John) Wierer, Jerry (Kaye) Jacobs, Terri (Bill) Simon, all of Casco, Joe (Helen) Jacobs, Mike (Donna) Jacobs, Chris (Don) Kriescher, all of New Franken, Randy (Julie) Jacobs, Luxemburg, Jean (Dan) Peterman, Grifton, NC. 24 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Three sisters, Celina VandeVoort, Green Bay, Annabelle Skaletski and Mary Lou Jacobs, New Franken. Two brothers Ronald (Darlene) Jacobs, Green Bay, and Rev. William J. Jacobs, Jr., Kalamazoo, MI. Six sisters in law and five brothers in law, Richard (Joan) Moureau, Green Bay, Rita Moureau, Luxemburg, Doris (Clarence) Ducat, Denmark, Rita Jauquet, RoseMary (Constant) Vanness, all of Green Bay, Loretta (Dale) Vanderkin, Plymouth, Richard Bielinski, Sheboygan, and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by father in law and mother in law, Joseph and Mamie (VanEgren) Moureau, an infant daughter Mary Ann, one son Robert Jacobs, one daughter in law Joyce Jacobs, one sister and three brothers in law, Arleen (Edwin) Verheyden, Richard VandeVoort, Norbert Skaletski. One brother and one sister in law, Russell (Helen) Jacobs. Six sisters in law and seven brothers in law, Sister Mary John "Grace" Moureau, Walter Moureau, Marilyn (Milton) Craanen, Joyce (Carl) Berg, Jean (Donald) Smits, Judy (Darrell) Lardinois, Shirley Bielinski, Stanley Bosetski, Orlin Pirlot and Peter Jauquet. Friends may call 3:00 to 7:00 PM at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, Monday, September 7, 2015. Closing parish prayer service 7 PM Monday at the church. Visitation will continue Tuesday, September 8, 2015, between 9:30 and 10:45 AM at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Funeral 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating.
