Elsie E. Kratz Elsie Emma Kratz, 92, Luxemburg, passed away Friday evening, September 11, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born in Maribel, WI on April 11, 1923 to the late Fredrick Albert and Emilie (Kohn) Kasten. She was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church, Maribel by The Reverend Paul J. Kionka on April 29, 1923. She was confirmed also at St. John by The Reverend Gerhard Struck with the Bible verse John 10: 27-28. On June 13, 1943 she was united in marriage with Raymond W. Kratz at St. John Lutheran Church, Maribel. Their union was blessed with two sons, Gary and Donald and one daughter Janice who passed away on January 13, 1977. Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Raymond William Kratz, two sons, Gary (Bonnie) Kratz, Luxemburg; Donald (Jo-Ann) Kratz, Arlington Heights, IL; one son in law, Kevin (Jane) Lincoln, Green Bay; two grandsons, Douglas Kratz, Neenah; Ryan (Anna) Kratz, Ann Arbor, MI; one granddaughter, Kirsten (Matt) Fleissig, St. Louis, MO; three great-grandchildren, Elijah Kratz, Nora Sue Kratz, August Kratz, one sister in law, Shirley Kasten, Ocala, FL., many nieces and nephews. Elsie was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Lincoln; one daughter in law, Susan M. Kratz, her mother in law and father in law, Bertha and Edward Kratz, four sisters, Beata (Walter) Gauger, Clara (Raymond) Ihlenfeld, Ruth (Ewald) Duescher, Selma Kasten; four brothers, Herbert (Norma) Kasten, Fred (Ruth) (Malvina) Kasten, Paul Kasten, August Kasten; one brother in law, Lester (Myrtle) Kratz; two sisters in law, Leona (Arnold) Mueller, Vernis (Ewald) Prahl. Friends may call at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier, 9:30 to 11:15 am, Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Funeral 11:30 am Wednesday at the church with Reverend Doctor Daniel Olson officiating.
