George T. Stodola

George T. Stodola Mr. George T. Stodola, 95, Pilsen died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home Wednesday morning, September 16, 2015. He was born in the town of Montpelier on June 13, 1920 to the late Frank J. and Anna (Mleziva) Stodola. George served his country during WWII with U.S. Army from June 1944 to April 1946. He was a member of the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg. On July 06, 1946 he married Mary Ann Worachek at St. James Church, Cooperstown. George farmed in the Pilsen area on his family farm his entire life, he was employed with Kewaunee Engineering for over thirty years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, Civil Defense for Kewaunee County. His enjoyments included dancing the polka with his wife, playing sheephead, hunting, fishing, spending time at his cabin up north, golfing, watching Packer and Brewer games and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren at sporting events. He loved animals and helping his son on the century dairy farm. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Mary Ann and their children, Barbara Stodola, Bellevue; George F. (Darlene Dorner) Stodola, Green Bay; Margaret (Robert) Larsen, Algoma; Emily (Peter) Pritchard, Chippewa Falls, Carole (Phil) Schwartz, Oshkosh; Jerome (Lou Ann) Stodola, Manitowoc; James (Angie) Stodola, Green Bay; Nancy (Patrick) Brocker, Maribel; John Stodola, Luxemburg; Mary Stodola, Kaukauna; 15 grandchildren, Regina (John) Siegel, Nathan (Julie) Larsen, Kirsten (Christian) Comlossy, Dillon (Susan) Pritchard, Ryan (Karen) Pritchard, Hannah (Justin) Weissbecker, Joe (Debbie) Stodola, Jennifer (Andy) Waack, Vicki (Joe) Micke, Kathy (Joe) Morrow, Kim (special friend Adam) Stodola, Sara Stodola, Eric Stodola, PJ (Ashley) Brocker, Breanne Brocker, twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Metzler, Green Bay; two sisters in law, Anna Mae Dorner, Luxemburg; Regina Stodola, Wausau; nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by, one son, Edward Stodola; one grandchild, Bryan Stodola; three brothers and three sisters in law, Frank (Anna) Stodola, Richard (Madeline) Stodola, Wencil (Dolores) Stodola; three brothers in law, Phil Wertel, Roman Dorner, and Henry Metzler. Friends may call 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, September 18, 2015 at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph - St. John Site, Pilsen. Closing parish prayer service 7:00 pm on Friday with Christal and Deacon Robert Wavrunek. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:40 am, Saturday, September 19, 2015 at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph - St. John Site, Pilsen. Funeral 11:00 am Saturday at the church with Rev.
