Ann E. Wavrunek Ann E. Wavrunek, 92 of DePere, died early Monday morning, October 12, 2015 at a Green Bay Hospital. She was born in Pilsen on December 8, 1922 to the late John M. and Katherine B. (Wochos) Wavrunek. Near the age of 16, Ann and her sisters faced a great adventure and moved to the big city of Chicago, locating employment and keeping them there until retirement. Following Ann's retirement she built a home in DePere, with her sister Barbara. Ann enjoyed traveling, playing cards, flower gardens and her cat, Elmo. Survivors include one brother and one sister in law, Edward and Rose Mary Wavrunek, Pilsen; many nieces and nephews further survive. Ann was preceded in death by two brothers, one infant brother, John Wavrunek; four sisters and three brothers in law, Helen (Melvin) Martin, Rose (Karl) Dobr, Barbara Wavrunek, Marie (Ray) Merkel; two half brothers, Joseph Hanna, Wencil "Jim" (Esther) Hanna; one half sister, Evelyn Boettcher. Friends may call 10:00 to 10:50 am, Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph-St. John Site, Pilsen. Funeral 11:00 am. Tuesday at the church with Rev. Dennis Drury officiating.
