Geraldine M. Vandenhouten Geraldine M. Vandenhouten, 92 of Tonet passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Sunday afternoon, November 29, 2015. She was born in the town of Humboldt on August 13, 1923 to the late Antone and Josephine (Cleereman) Allen. On June 14, 1944 she married Lawrence J. Vandenhouten at St. Mary Church in Humboldt. He preceded her in death February 07, 1997. She was employed with Algoma Memorial Hospital for over 18 years. Her enjoyments included baking, especially her peanut bars and peanut butter clusters, tending to her flower and vegetable garden well into her eighty's. She was best known for her sewing abilities including numerous alterations, her Cabbage Patch and Barbie doll clothing and attending the local craft shows. Survivors include her three sons and two daughters in law, Darold and Karen Vandenhouten, Green Bay; Louis Vandenhouten, Casco; Dave and Sharon Vandenhouten, New Franken; four grandchildren, Matt (Jessica) Vandenhouten, Amy (Jim) Finn, Eric (special friend Heather) Vandenhouten, Adam Vandenhouten; five great-grandchildren, Ella and Jaisa Vandenhouten, Jackson, Ava and Patrick Finn; one sister, Collette Wertel, Green Bay; one sister in law, Grace Allen, Green Bay, numerous nieces and nephews. Geraldine was preceded in death by, four brothers, Henry (Hilda) Allen, Alvin (Alice) Allen, Sylvester Allen, Bernard (Millie) Allen; four sisters Myrtle (Allen) Kuchenbecker, Alice (Henry) Tilkens, Mabel (Ralph) Goral, Elsie (Richard) Finnel; brothers in law and sisters in law, John (Josie) Vandenhouten, Fred (Mary) Vandenhouten, Ray Sr. (Helen) Vandenhouten, Myrtle (Melvin) Petiniot; her step mother, Alice Brunner and many other step brothers and step sisters. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 3:30 to 7:30 pm on Wednesday, December 02, 2015. Parish rosary 6:30 pm on Wednesday. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:15 am on Thursday, December 03, 2015 at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, Sugarbush. Funeral 10:30 am Thursday at the church with Rev.
