Leland “Lee” M. Laurent, 57, New Franken, died peacefully and unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, December 26, 2015. He was born on June 4, 1958, in Green Bay, to the late Norman N. and Mae M. (Romuald) Laurent. On September 13, 1980, he married the love of his life and soul mate Lisa M. Delveaux at St. Martin Church, Tonet; they celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in September 2015. Lee and Lisa farmed in Luxemburg, from 1980 until 1990, when he took a job as a service technician at Best Buy. In 2015, Lee celebrated 25 years at Best Buy, where he was a prized employee due to his excellent customer service abilities. Lee cherished spending time with his wife, kids, and dogs, especially outdoors. He loved fishing, snowmobiling, camping, especially at Peninsula State Park. He was proud of his vegetable garden, yard and his thousands of projects around the house. He was a coveted card playing partner. He was known for his persistent kindness and willingness to help others; he never complained. He was a perfect husband and father, friend, neighbor, and volunteer. He was happiest when he could do things for and with his wife and children. Survivors include his wife, Lisa, New Franken; three children, Ben (Allison) Laurent, Cottage Grove; Beth Laurent and Kevin Hasselbacher, Madison; and Brianna Laurent, New Franken; one brother, Ron (Janet) Laurent, Luxemburg; his mother-in-law, Bertha Delveaux, Luxemburg; one brother-in-law, Gary (Rita) Delveaux, Green Bay; three sisters-in-law, Donna Dorner, Green Bay; Jill Lalko, Oshkosh; Linda (Matt) Connell, Crooked Lake; and many nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by his brother Larry Laurent; father-in-law Elmer Delveaux; and two brothers-in-law, Marty Lalko and Roger Dorner.
