James "Chummy" Vandenhouten James L. "Chummy" Vandenhouten, 64 of Luxemburg died unexpectedly on Friday afternoon January 08, 2016 of a heart attack after enjoying a day of ice fishing. He was born in Green Bay and raised in Dyckesville to the late Raymond J. Sr. and Helen (DeBauche) Vandenhouten. On June 11, 1971 he married Ann M. Leannah at St. Peter and St. Paul Church, Green Bay. In early years he worked with his family at Van's Lumber, later became the owner/operator of Van's Trucking in Luxemburg for 38 years. His enjoyments included ice fishing, deer hunting, playing cards and socializing. Most of all he adored his three grandchildren and spending time with family. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Ann and their son, Kelly "Chummy" (Carrie) Vandenhouten, Denmark; three grandchildren, Brody, Macey and Shea; one brother and two sisters in law, Raymond Jr. (Pat) Vandenhouten, Dyckesville; Jan Vandenhouten, Casco; one sister in law, Mary Vlisides, Madison; nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by, two sons, Lee James Vandenhouten, Guy Jason Vandenhouten; one brother, Wayne Vandenhouten; one brother in law, Peter Vlisides; his father in law and mother in law, Edmund and Esther Leannah.
