Elaine L. Wery Elaine L. Wery, 75 (Mrs. Larry C. Wery) Casco, died early Saturday morning, February 6, 2016 at her home with her family at her side. She was born in Sugarbush to the late Joseph C. and Beatrice M. ( Conard) Mathu. On September 21, 1963 she married Larry C. Wery at St. Hubert Church, Sugarbush. Elaine retired in 2000 from 41 plus years of banking with the Bank of Luxemburg. During the last six years, she worked with Aurora Hospital as a receptionist on a part-time basis. Her enjoyments included cooking, baking and entertaining for family and friends. No one will ever forget the Christmas Eve buffets she created for several years. She loved people, trips to the casino, and spending time at the Chapel in Robinsonville. Elaine was a member of the Christian Mother Society at St. Mary Church in Luxemburg. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Larry, one daughter, Renee Bohm, Luxemburg: three grandchildren, Hunter, Isabella and Calvin, who were the light of her life. Her siblings, Myra Tlachac, Casco; Carl and Judy Mathu, Green Bay; Genial and Ellen Mathu, Marianne Greatens, Linda and Dave Jadin, Paula and Paul Sinkula, Bernadine Mathu, all of Luxemburg,; brothers in law and sisters in law, Vilaria Romuald, Champion; Arlen and Judy Wery, Algoma; Ronald and Judy Wery, Green Bay; Mary Ann Wery, Green Bay; her grandchildren's father, Mark Bohm; nieces and nephews. Elaine was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Mathu, brothers in law and sisters in law, Harley Greatens, Jim Tlachac, Ronald Romuald, John Wery, Verle and Donald Dax. Friends may call at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 11, 2016. Closing parish rosary 7:00 pm on Thursday. Visitation will continue between 9:15 and 10:15 am, Friday, February 12, 2016. Funeral 10:30 am on Friday with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Luxemburg.
