Dorothy A. Wavrunek, (Mrs. Sylvester Wavrunek), 88 of Pilsen died peacefully early Sunday morning at home on February 28, 2016. She was born August 27, 1927 in Freedom to the late Henry and Mary (Huven) Ebben. On November 8, 1947 Dorothy was united in marriage with Sylvester F. Wavrunek at Holy Cross Church, Kaukauna. He preceded her in death December 29, 2001. Survivors include four sons and four daughters in law, Daniel (Debra) Wavrunek, Kewaunee; Deacon Robert (Christal) Wavrunek, Tisch Mills; David Wavrunek, Luxemburg; James (Josy) Wavrunek, Denmark; Jean Wavrunek, Luxemburg; three daughters and one son in law, Janet ( friend Noah) Spitzer, Jackson; Mary (Tom) Swagel, Kewaunee; Catherine Wavrunek, Green Bay; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister in law, Willard Ebben, Kaukauna; Rosella Ebben, Green Bay; nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by one son Joseph Wavrunek, three brothers two sisters in law, Vincent (Mary) Ebben, Richard Ebben, Henry Ebben, Helen Ebben, six sisters, Matilda (Peter) Van Den Bosch, Frances (Ervin) Deprez, Clara (Walter) Roepcke, Sister M. Janet Ebben O.S. F, Genevieve Ebben, Margaret (Raymond) Heindl; six brothers in law and six sisters in law, James (Margaret) Wavrunek, Anton (Gertrude) Wavrunek, George (Mabel) Wavrunek, Edward Sr. (Mayme) Wavrunek, Dorothy (Frank) Mleziva, Mayme (Michael) Stahl, her father in law and mother in law, Catherine and James Wavrunek. Friends may call 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, March 02, 2016 at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph-St. John Site, Hwy 29 in Pilsen. Closing parish prayer service 7:00 pm. Wednesday, led by Dorothy's son and daughter in law, Christal and Deacon Robert Wavrunek. Visitation will continue on Thursday, March 03, 2016 at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph-St. John Site between 9:30 am and 10:45 am. Funeral 11:00 am at the church with Rev. Dennis Drury officiating.
