Greg " Gyro" M. Deprez, 57, Luxemburg, died unexpectedly Monday, May 2, 2016, at his home of natural causes. He was born on November 11, 1958 in Green Bay to Janice K. (Mleziva) Deprez and the late Myron J. Deprez. He was a graduate of St. Mary School and Luxemburg-Casco High School. Following graduation he began his career with the Kewaunee County Highway Department, retiring after 37 years of service. He was one of the founding members of the Luxemburg Little League Tournament, serving various roles for the organization. His enjoyments included fishing and hunting at the cabin in Gleason, listening to country music, watching NASCAR races and was a lifelong fan of Dick Trickle. He enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers. He was the number one fan for his nieces and nephews sporting events. An annual event, the Luxemburg parade was celebrated at his home each year, his door was always open to many through out the years. Survivors include his mother, Janice Deprez, Luxemburg; four sisters and one brother, Barb (Mark) Michiels, Luxemburg; Mary (John) Wilde, New Franken; Diane Deprez, Green Bay; Michelle (Jim) Kleiman, Kewaunee; Gerard (Linda) Deprez, New Franken; nieces and nephews, Chad (Ali) Willems, Andy (Stephanie) Willems and their daughter, Emerson, Stephanie Michiels, Zak Michiels and special friend Megan, Jimmy Kleiman, Noah Kleiman, Ashley (P.J.) Brocker, Owen Deprez and Alayna Deprez. Greg's three godchildren, Gerard Deprez, Shannon Zarn and Andy Willems, and will be missed by his little puppy, Sunshine. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Myron J. Deprez; one brother in law, Mike Willems; his paternal and maternal grandparents. Friends may call at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, 3:30 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, May 5, 2016. Closing parish prayer service 7:00 pm on Thursday. Visitation will continue between 8:45 and 9:45 am, Friday, May 6, 2016 at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Funeral 10:00 am Friday at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating.
