Dorothy M. Van Ess, 85 of Dyckesville, died early Monday morning, June 06, 2016 in Algoma. She was born March 01, 1931 in Rosiere to the late Gilbert D. and Laura V. (De Grave) La Croix. On April 08, 1947 Dorothy married Jule Louis Van Ess at St. Peter Church, Lincoln. He preceded her in death November 16, 2001. Her enjoyments included going fishing, playing cards, playing Bingo, quilting and crafting especially creating beautiful centerpieces. Survivors include her two daughters, Julie Ann (friend, Dale) Deis, Oconto; Lee Ann (Joe) Vanness, Luxemburg; four grandchildren, Laura Deis, Lisa Deis, Tonya (Greg) Bouche and Stacy (Lee) Jobelius; three great grandchildren, Amber Bouche, Alex Bouche and Skyler Jobelius. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Jule Van Ess; one son, Jule Van Ess Jr.; one grand daughter, Tina Barbeau; one son in law, John Deis.
