Gladys D. Ciha Gladys D. Ciha, 87 of Luxemburg, died Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2016 at Oak Creek Assisted Living, Luxemburg, with her family by her side. She was born to the late William and Rose (Wessely) Haen in Luxemburg on April 04, 1929. On September 28, 1949 she married Frank W. Ciha at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2003. Gladys was a member of the Ralph Kline American Legion Unit 262 Auxiliary, Luxemburg, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 3392, Kewaunee. She was a member of the Christian Mother Society of St. Mary Church, Luxemburg and a member of the W.F.L.C in Pilsen. Gladys and Frank owned and operated a dairy farm in Luxemburg. She was the secretary/bookkeeper for the Ellisville Co-op Dairy Association. She also was employed with Luxemburg Motor Company for 30 plus years. Following retirement she enjoyed her flowers and gardening, trying to pass her green thumb onto family, but we still are a work in progress! She enjoyed meeting at the Senior Center on Wednesdays, having a meal and playing cards, as well as the numerous card clubs with lady friends. Survivors include five children, Bill Ciha, Luxemburg; Dick (Terri) Ciha, Luxemburg; Gerrianne (George) Yanku, Lemont, IL; Tom (Kathy) Ciha, Barb (John) Benzshawel, all of Luxemburg; 11 grandchildren, Stacy, Andy, Jacob, Jordan, Aaron, Nick, Christie, Nicole, Sarah, Ashley and Jeremy; five great-grandchildren, Asher, Addie, Maddie, Conner and Parker; one brother, Robert (Nancy) Haen, Luxemburg; one sister in law, Marina Haen, Luxemburg; nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by, one son, James Ciha; one daughter in law, Karen Ciha; two brothers and one sister in law, Donald and Leona Haen, Lloyd Haen; two brothers in law and two sisters in law, Ed and Mayme Stepanek, Ann and Al Paradowski. Friends may call 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at St. Mary Church, 1413 Main Street, Luxemburg, WI. Closing combined Ralph Kline American Legion Unit 262 Auxiliary memorial service and parish prayer service 7:00 pm on Thursday. Visitation will continue between 8:30 and 9:45 am, Friday, September 2, 2016 at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Funeral 10:00 am on Friday at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay. McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG is assisting the Ciha Family. www.mcmahonfh.com.
