Clifford L, Vandenhouten Clifford L. Vandenhouten, 90 of Luxemburg died Friday evening, September 02, 2016 at Odd Fellows Home in Allouez. He was born August 28, 1926 in Luxemburg to the late John B. and Josephine (DeCremer) Vandenhouten. On September 25, 1946 Clifford and Ruth Frisque were married at St. Martin Church in Tonet. She preceded him in death on December 10, 2012. He was a Navy WWII Veteran, a member of the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262 in Luxemburg. Clifford was a life long farmer who enjoyed his herd of Brown Swiss Cattle. He enjoyed going to movies, playing cards and having an old fashion. Survivors include his three children, Gary (Judy) Vandenhouten, Judy Karas, Dan (Genny Fameree) Vandenhouten, all of Luxemburg; 13 grandchildren, Mike Deprez, Shirley (Perry DeGrave) Thomas, Steve (Terri) Deprez, Sandy Deprez, Jane (John) Wertel, Tina (Randy) Johnson, Dawn (Paul) Drnevich, Susan (Dan) Plawski, Anna (Tyler Veit) Karas, Christina Vandenhouten, Jason (Beth) Vandenhouten, Rachel Weber, Adam Weber; ten great-grandchildren, Jesse and Kaitlynn Thomas, Willie De Grave, Nathan Deprez, Darian and Sierra Jonet, Johnny and Kayden Wertel, Katie and Jake Johnson; two great-great-grandchildren, Janelle and Jaelynn Thomas; one sister in law, Rosella Vandenhouten, Casco; nieces and nephews further survive. Clifford was preceded in death by two daughters in law, Linda Vandenhouten and Amy Vandenhouten; one brother, Wilfred Vandenhouten. Friends may call at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 06, 2016. Combined closing American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262 memorial service and parish prayer service, 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 am at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, Wednesday, September 07, 2016. Funeral 11:00 am, Wednesday at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating.
