Denis E. Stahl Denis E. Stahl, age 76, Luxemburg, passed away Tuesday evening, October 4, 2016 at Aurora Baycare Medical Center in Green Bay after a brief illness. He was born in Kewaunee County on January 27, 1940 son of the late Mike and Mayme (Wavrunek) Stahl. He served his country by spending one term in the US Army Reserves. He married Sharon A. Veeser on January 5, 1963 at St. Mary Church in Luxemburg and together they raised two daughters. Denis was a hard working business man from the Luxemburg area as a sewer and water contractor and partner in Dorner-Stahl Construction until his retirement in 1998. In his retirement he enjoyed working outdoors, helping his brothers on their farms and maintaining his lawn and property. Denis enjoyed watching football and his trips to the casino to play the slot machines. Denis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon, two daughters, Carol (Keith) Van Eyck, Green Bay; Lynn (Tim) Jonet, DePere; five grandchildren, Jenni Davis, Christine Davis, Christopher Davis, Amber Jonet and Alyssa Jonet; one great granddaughter, Alianna Mortlock, daughter of Christine. He is also survived by two brothers and four sisters- in-law, Lary (Michelle) Stahl, Glen (Wendy) Stahl, all of Luxemburg; Virginia Goeble, New Franken; Chris Stahl, Kewaunee; one sister, Bernadine Mathu, Luxemburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Denis was preceded in death by his brothers Gerald Stahl, Jim Stahl, and Mike "Mickey" Stahl Jr.; one brother-in-law, Gerald Mathu. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, 530 Main Street, Luxemburg, WI. 54217, 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday, October 7, 2016 and again between 10:00 and 11:30 am on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Prayer service 11:30 am on Saturday at McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg.
