Myron “Mike” Gilson Myron "Mike" J. Gilson, 89, of Dyckesville passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at his home. He was born to the late Ray and Mayme (Boulanger) Gilson in Rosiere, WI on October 03, 1927. After graduating high school and military service in the army during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1952, he met Charlotte Du Jardin, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Together they moved to Dyckesville and raised three children. Mike was a devoted father, Packer fan, babysitter, maintenance man for St. Louis Parish in Dyckesville, the Duvall Cemetery and a proud Belgian American. Mike enjoyed working outside, especially when he could use his riding lawnmower. He loved all animals especially, dogs and birds. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte, their three children and spouses, Tom and Bernie Gilson, De Pere; Ann and Peter Birdsall, Green Bay; Scott Gilson, Belgium, Wi; three grandchildren, Phillip Birdsall, Jacob Birdsall, Sophia Gilson; one sister, Audrey Bostwick, Dyckesville; one brother in law and one sister in law, Neil and Sharon Du Jardin, Egg Harbor; nieces and nephews further survive. Mike was preceded in death by, one grandson, Jack Scott Gilson; one sister and two brothers in law, Germaine and Bill Lazansky; Robert Bostwick. Friends may call between 9:00 am and 10:45 am on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville. Funeral at 11:00 am on Saturday at the church with Rev. John Van Deuren officiating . Full military rites to follow the funeral Mass with the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg. Entombment at the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
